Risk or watching the news

Risk of watching the news.

Watching the news has been so normal for us. We find new information, capture interesting stories and learn more about what's going around the world. Most of the information they give us now is how a certain event affected the family. Do we really care about the family? Or are we just nosy people? Irrelevant information is given out more than the actual important information. We tend to use our emotions when we watch the news then our knowledge. Scientist are starting to say that not watching the news will start making us happier.

The misperception of a car falling of a fallen apart bridge makes us be more preoccupied of the car and the family then the actual bridge. Yes we should all be worried about the family. But the car isn't really important. Like of it was a Honda people would just start being like "I'm not buying that car, their brakes don't work." When that was a human mistake. What about the bridge? That was a human mistake too. We get scared to buy the type of car when we should've been worried about the real problem which is our society.

Sometimes it isn't the fact that care, just that showing that we care shows off a good impression to other people. While we watch the news, we apply emotions, "how tragic is that", "I feel sorry", come one people we need to apply KNOWLEDGE!! Yes, some cases are heart touching, but omg(oh my god) use that brain. You see a family lost there house, due to a fire. You seem more sad about the family losses, then instead trying to make a difference, in order to prevent it from happening or to help them out get back on there feet, after all it might happen to you.

Your sitting there watching the news, now a days all you see is bad, negative things happening around the world. Which makes you think and worry about the problems around the world, which at the end of the day makes you overthink. Overthinking is bad to the health, it makes you worry about non-sense, well not exactly non-sense. Yet scientist are saying not watching the news makes you way lot happier with your life's.

At the end of the day, watching cartoons is better. They bring fun, joy, sadness, but they don't make you have a misperception about the world and it's problems. We can't control the people to watch the news or not to watch. Sometimes your going to just be able to accept the ways the news makes you feel.

Bullying

Bullying has became a number one conflict through all the United States, might as well say the world. Everyone has gotten bullied at least once in there whole life time or in the life they lived. It's sad to think about, but it's true. Sometimes the youngest kids kill themselves because they think that's there only way out. Why can't we say no to bullying as of they're drugs getting offered to us? If we stand up for someone getting bullied, we would end up being the aggressor, and get blamed for it.

There's three types of bullying which is verbally, mentally, and physically. They can go from laughing about the "joke", to crying because the words you said about them actually hurt them in a way. "No harm, no foul", actually anything can be harmful is just how the person takes it, either to the heart, or pushes it to the back. We usually do the harm without even noticing the pain we might be causing the people. "Your fat", "Your ugly" simple as those words can be, they literally can distortion someone's self-esteem.

I once encountered a bullying problem at my middle school, this boy was getting bullied thankfully someone went up to the aggressor and fronted him to stop bullying the boy, it turned out to be a fight, but the boy who stood up for the little kid got the minor disciplinary action but the other one, let's say we didn't see him at school till months later. Sometimes the right thing is done, other times we the people act as were blinded and don't turn to help, either because we don't want to get the problems faced toward us or due to the fact we want to be blinded and mind our own business.

In the news, "It was last week when Shimizu killed himself after having been bullied. Last year, he was the only boy on his cheerleading squad.", now you see bullying has caused innocent people with bright futures to kill themselves just because they do as what there dreams are set for. So what if he was in the cheerleading squad? I bet he was standing up for what he loved, and due to what he loved, it ended up with his life. I wonder how his family is feeling, it's so tragic what happened.

At the end of the day, bullying is a nationwide problem. It can't be stopped, yet we can prevent it. We can stand up for what's right, and make all the actions we can to beat the system. No life's should be lost because of bullying. Not at all. We can just keep them in our prayers to one day be able to fully stop bullying.

Go world story

Go world story

The idea of my go world story just came to me because it had to be something meaningful, and what's more meaningful than my own inspiration, my mother. When I started writing about my mom it was easy to describe what she meant to me. I could've written a really list about my mom and it would probably describe a lot of moms out there in the world. Yet being able to find the right way to make the words flow in the correct sentence structure was pretty difficult for me, mainly when I have trouble writing because I write so plain. I had probably written about three different drafts, nothing I pretty much I did I was feeling it. It was all based on the same concept but it was all written differently all the times I wrote it, until I went to talk to the teacher and she was able to help me out with my last draft, which later turned out to be my final draft. Mrs. Rassmusen was able to help me out in my sentence structure and also being able to describe what my mother meant to me. I used even this "big" words that I've never seen in my life which increased my vocabulary. I was able to replace simple little words like "happy" to something more passionately exciting. When I was doing my video I was basically thinking of my writing. I wanted everyone to see what I meant with my text in pictures. I didn't want to be so plain and use the obvious pictures, but I wanted to use pictures that would speak a million words, bedsides the fact it had a caption under. When I was done with my project I thought I did an awesome job. To be honest I actually felt like I was a really good writer for the first time. All I did was take my time and ask for advice and I was able to write a master piece. When the teacher presented my video I was kinda nervous for what people thought of it, but I heard good stuff about it and I felt good. I felt like I was able to make an improvement in my vocabulary, writing and in my details.

My reading life

Last year I was a poor reader. I didn't really see the point in reading, I always wanted to push myself  into reading the book, but I just didn't have the inspiration to read the book. I have read 4 books in just this past nine weeks. To me that's an accomplishment because I did mostly spark notes in all of me readings in order to be catches up with the whole class.

I have read 3 books fully, now in my fourth book. The three books I've read are, Thirteen reasons why, Lessons from a dead girl, Perfect Chemistry and the fourth book I'm reading is Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close. This books are filled with mystery which I found out reading this books. Who knew this type of genre I would end up loving.

I will be really clear on this, I think I read about two books in the last year. I usually had no interest in reading because I didn't really like it. I thought reading was a waste of time and it wouldn't help me at all. But I found out reading helped me out in my vocabulary.

I learned that I am into mystery books with love in them. Which is mostly what I've read. I like to keep thinking about the book while I'm reading. It makes me question the author. It makes me think about what's going to happen. Which makes me want to never stop reading the book, but of course we have to at some point.

The most difficult book I've read might be the one I'm reading right now. Extremely Loud, incredibly close, because the chapters go from the kid to then the grandma to then the father. It doesn't tell you straight of the bat of this is the nest persons chapter, we have to figure it ourself by the context clues, which is sometimes difficult.

I have a busy life. I do homework and work. I rarely have anytime to read unless when I'm off but by the. I still have errands to do and it can pretty difficult finding a way to read. But then I started reading before I go to sleep, it relaxes me. I read whenever I have time at school, and pretty much anywhere I can squeeze reading in.

I need to improve on my reading skills in how to be able to determine what the theme is in my book. I can never really find it because I read straightforward with vivid images in my head but never stop to think about the theme.

My reading goals for the rest of the year is to keep reading at the same relate I been reading so I an reach my goal of read 15 books by the end of this year. I hope I can accomplish it.

Awesome

The awesome thing about life

The steady beat of the drums being banged on, show the pulse of a steady heartbeat, like everyone's else's we have our unique heartbeat, but unlike our mothers they have a meaning for every beat, every drum noise they reproduce is our life.

A mother is like a blessing from god. They say count your blessings, and the first one that pops in my head with a full image of her with a big white toothy smile is a woman, a woman with brown curly hair dropping to her waist, her make-up is put on firmly with precise, her shirt shows she's old, it's loose from her hips, her jeans are what we call capris, and she has those old running Nikes shoes on that she never wanted to buy new because she rather spend that money on you. Been there before day of birth, and has never have left your side even when the umbilical cord was cut off. The hug of the mother feels as if the sun kisses your skin slowly with warmth and love in every touch. She symbolizes strength, strength after we feel like giving up after out so much pressure but with her inspiring heart-felt speeches we keep riding the rainbow with determination to find the pot of gold. A mother, best friend, sister, companion. She is everything we could ask for. She is everything we could've hoped for.

Take care of us the kids, working full time, being able to manage our home, cooking, our crazy extracurricular activities, only one person can do that, and that's the one person we wake up with most flowing beautiful, sweetest, loving angels voice saying, "Get up, it's time for school". "One mother arms are big enough to hug all her child's at one time", my mother would say on her birthday to us, when I say us is a big family of 5 different looking kids. We range from the ages of 23-10, some came out chubby like when you push the Oreo stuffing trying to make the cookies touch each other, and some came out skinny as little frail toothpicks that break before you even put them in your mouth, that's why now I understand what she means about being able to hug all of us at one time. God himself made that, and now she's passing it to us.

When were hardheaded, selfish, trouble makers, and  there the cops putting the law down. The punishment sometimes is getting grounded, no tv, no going out for the weekend, we end up saying, "I HATE YOU", we never mean it, but we just say it because we don't think before we speak. Then we grow up, look back to the old us and we contrast our lives, thanks to those little punishments given to us, we say thank you mom. If it wasn't for her we would ended up being in the streets.

We hold her hand, with each and every finger laced so tightly between each other, that we never want to see them gone. But as we grow, they age, the more sick they get, mored tired they get, the less we have time to spend with them, but we are blind by the sunshines light when you try to look at the sun directly that leaves a bright flashing spot you see till your eyes adjust again. That's why we have to value our mothers as if there a gold coin we don't want to give up the clerk. Our birth-givers. God made many imperfections, but our mothers were there to perfect them. We sometimes regret not spending enough time with them, but they, they appreciated every moment they gave us a lesson, shared a laugh, a tear, any type of bonding. Our mothers are the best thing god has created. A beautiful creation, with specific flaws unlike others. She's beautiful as the snow on top of a mountain, never been touched, pure, flawless. We grow up saying I WILL give her the best, I WILL show her the best, I WILL be the best she created in her womb. At then end of the day, we don't have to say I love you, because to them they already know we love them to death.

AWESOME.

Uncaring of the humans

Fires...
Everyday you live life in fear of dying. Sometimes it comes in the most unexpected ways. Everyone's day is counted, even god knows when. It may be your time,Or it might not be. You lose a loved one, or you lose your be-loving belongings. A number one cause is fires. A simple mistake of throwing away a simple cigarette lit on, can cause many deaths and can make you lose your life working accomplishments, you probably even sweated blood and tears for it to lose for a simple mistake that could've been prevented.

"Up it more than 4,000 wildfires have burned in California this year" said Jeff barnand. I understand if it was due to hot blazing sun days, but if it was a human error that could've been prevented than we have failed. Yes I did say fail. We want to go green, yet we can't because people this day are so selfish about themselves. You can easily prevent a fire by taking the time to put out one of there causes if we weren't to lazy.

You see all this littering all over the streets, that us humans do. We could just leave our new generation habits in the back of our lives and do how the old generations of us use to live. Yeah we didn't have the same technology but fires were less predictable then now in days. We could see still see them once in a while, but it was cause of the poor technology they didn't have now. We have advanced so much from the 20th century to the 21st yet it doesn't seem we have advanced do to our poor caring of this world, which is our kids future. I'm pretty sure we don't want our kids live in a dump.

So next time when you want to smoke a cigarette And not put it away the safe way, or you want to play with a magnifying glass heating up the grass, or you just leave anything burning out in the outside or inside your home think about your kids future, everyone's. I know for fact a wildfire can consume your life earnings in less than you can call a fire department.

Everyone is equal

Everyone is equal

A thousand walk in the desert with a hot blazing sun over there head, some are packed up in trucks with no room to breath, others are left behind to die, all of the above just to get a better future for there families, and themselves. Usually there called immigrants, or "wetbacks", but I think they should be called "go getters".

Now, in the news you see all this little kids coming over to the United States. All alone, with no mother or father to protect them from harm or show them there affection thru the worst scenarios, rape, abuse, diseases.

Just for a better future.

They wait days just to see the judge, who will determine there faith. Some are getting sended farther than what they thought. Some people don't accept them in there states. They protest to send them back. They don't see all this kids parents want is them to have better future where they don't get stuck working in farms, getting paid really bad wages. Instead of helping them out, the kids get rejected. They are lost in the confusion. There parents don't know what there doing over here.

No connection, no communication. The worries. No matter what there age is, racist people look at this kids like there felonies. It's one thing they crossed over to have a better future but another to looked like if they were animals. All this fingers point at them like there a display in windows. They whisper about them, like if it's a juicy story.

Everyone was made by god. Illegal or not, we're all brothers and sisters with different dads and moms. No one of us should be judged by the skin color or from where they come from, they should be judged by there intentions and actions. Maybe they just want to get a better future.
